The Fluke 179 True RMS multimeter features a 6000 count digital display that updates 4 x second. Data can also be
displayed in analog bargraph format which includes 33 segments and updates 40 x second. The backlight display
automatically turns off after 2 minutes of inactivity to save battery life. The HOLD function freezes the display and
the AUTO HOLD displays the present reading until a new reading is detected.
Fluke 179 True RMS multimeters have a manual or autoranging mode. While in auto range the meter selects the range with
the best resolution for the present measurement value. Other features of the Fluke 179 include fast continuity/open
detection, test lead alerts, power-up options, probe holders and a high-impact overmold case.
