The Honeywell MIDAS high temperature pyrolyzer module has a field replaceable heater assembly with a lifespan of greater than two years. For Perfluoro
compounds order the PFC cartridge (MIDAS-E-XCF) separately.
The MIDAS transmitter automatically detects the pyrolyzer module and provides the necessary power and signaling
for the device. The pyrolyzer module option is installed under the transmitter. An air sample is drawn through the pyrolyzer and the target fluorinated
compounds are converted into hydrogen fluoride (HF) gas by means of pyrolysis at a high temperature which is optimized for each gas family. The residual
HF is then measured by the sensor cartridge and the concentration is calculated from this result. The pyrolyzer can be run from a MIDAS powered by
either PoE or 24 VDC.
Because of the higher operating temperatures when using the pyrolyzer module, Honeywell strongly recommends that the ventilated MIDAS Top Cover
(part number MIDAS-A-039) be used in all pyrolyzer applications. Additionally, the pyrolyzer requires a Freon end-of-line filter (P/N 1830-0027).
The MIDAS transmitter and sensor cartridges are not included and must be purchased separately.
